Mike Steil defeats 16-time MAST champion Herb Kimpel to win his first MAST title. Steil bowled a 279 in the title match to secure the win and $512. Kimpel received $282 for second.

The tournament drew 56 bowlers who competed on the 2011 USBC Open Championship shot. Casey Gibney led qualifying with 955 to earn an extra 25 bonus points. A score of 840 or better was required to advance to match play and all who competed will receive an extra 25 bonus points for the challenge condition.

Phoenix Pro Shop and Bowl-A-Vard Lanes sponsored the tournament. Bowl-A-Vard Lanes donated a portion of the lineage back to the prize fund as well as three $10 gift cards for the drawing. Phoenix Pro Shop donated a Track 811A. Herb Kimpel won the ball and the gift cards were won by Mark Newkirk, Casey Gibney, and Bruce Bryan.
