Tim Fosdick triumphed over the competition this past Sunday at Village Lanes to attain his first MAST title. Fosdick led the qualifying round with a four game total of 1007 and then nearly missed an 800 for his first 3 games of match play. Games of 257, 267, and 268 allowed Fosdick to defeat Scott Kramer, Andy Bunkoske, and Gail Myers Jr., respectively on his way to the final match. Fosdick continued his high scoring against Rich Zarnstorff in the title match, winning 268 to 234. Fosdick earned $568 for first place and Zarnstorff received $284 for his second place effort.

The tournament drew 65 bowlers, five of those entering as house bowlers. Striking was key as a four game total of 926 was necessary to advance to match play. Fosdick earned an extra 25 bonus points for being high qualifier. Honor scores for the day include a 300 by Bob Holzbauer, a 299 by Rick Thomas, and a 290 by runner up Rich Zarnstorff.

Sponsors of the tournament were Village Lanes and Badger Pro Shop. Village Lanes donated a portion of the lineage back to the prize fund and four $10 gift cards. Dan Seppa won two of the gift cards while Gary Thompson and Bryan Zimmer each won one. Badger Pro Shop donated a Mutant Cell, won by Dan Swenson.

The MAST thanks the tournament sponsors and all the bowlers who came out to make the Village Lanes tournament a success. The next MAST stop is at Prairie Lanes on Saturday December 12th at 12:30, with check-in starting at 11:45am.
