In an exciting final match, Chad Maas defeated Chad Kloss 248 to 246. The match came down to the tenth frame with Kloss needing to double to beat Maas. Kloss got the first strike, followed by a 9-count, to fall short of the win. Maas and Kloss received $560 and $280, respectively, for first and second place.

The tournament took place on the PBA Shark pattern, challenging all that competed. Each of 63 bowlers will be awarded 25 bonus points for their efforts on the demanding lanes. A score of only 760 for 4 games was necessary to make the top 16 and advance to match play. Chad Kloss led the qualifying round with a score of 875 to earn another 25 bonus points.

The MAST would like to thank Ten Pin Alley for hosting the tournament and for their donation of three $10 gift cards and a portion of the lineage to the prize fund. Appreciation also goes out to Phoenix Pro Shop for donating a Storm Furious to the raffle. The balling ball was won by Mark Newkirk and the gift cards were won by Dan Seppa, Lauren Sammel, and Mike Hoffman. With the support from Ten Pin Alley and Phoenix Pro Shop almost $300 was added to the prize fund.

The next MAST stop is the doubles event at Middleton Sport Bowl Saturday January 16th. The first and second squads begin at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm, respectively. Please sign up in the discussion forum under the MAST Sport Bowl doubles thread if you plan to bowl.
