Ron Blanchar and Mike Hoffman survived the challenging condition at Lake Ripley Lanes to capture the MAST doubles title defeating Mike Christian and Justin Fryer in the final match. This is Blanchar and Hoffman's first and sixth MAST titles, respectively, earning each of them $390.00. Both Christian and Fryer won $195.00.

The scoring at Lake Ripley started off slow with a cut of only -4 to make the top eight after the first shift of competition. The tough condition didn't get any easier during second shift as the low scoring continued, resulting in a cut of -85 to qualify for match play. Rick Thomas and Joey Kick led qualifying with a combined score of 1720 although were defeated by Blanchar and Hoffman in the first round of match play. The highest scores of the day, a pair of 267's by Jeff Prein and Ron Blanchar, were also bowled in the first round of match play.

Tim Janz of Beaver Dam led all individual qualifiers with an impressive 918 set - edging out Rick Thomas' 912. Janz earned 25 bonus points as high individual qualifier.

The MAST thanks our tournament sponsors for the event. Lake Ripley Lanes donated a portion of the lineage back to the prize fund and Badger Pro Shop donated a Motiv TX1, which was won by Julie Crawford. A second bowling ball, the Virtual Energy, was won by Mike Christian. The next MAST stop is at Dream Lanes on November 8th at 12:30pm.
